Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese repair method in which fragments are reassembled into a new whole. The breakage points are particularly decorated and highlighted and decorative effects are created based on scattered images (maki-e). The embellishment of the blemish and recomposition of broken things stands for both actual broken objects, but is also symbolically understood to a philosophical level, such as transferred to human destinies.
This minimalist design is inspired by Japanese crafts in the tradition of Kintsukuroi
