High performance over grip with tech finish. Improved dry feel with extreme moisture absorption for the toughest of players and conditions!
I've been hearing good things about this grip as an alternative to Tourna, so I decided to give it a go. I sweat a lot through my palms, so I need a durable and absorbent grip for the summer months. This grip has a very dry feel, almost like craft foam. It's also not completely smooth, it has a bit of texture to it in the form of very small bumps. The grip absorbs well, and lasts longer than Tourna. Tourna would start to shred after 3 hours of hitting, this thing didn't show signs of deteriorating until the 6 hour mark. And even then, the tearing is not as big as Tourna's, so it can go even longer.Pros:Dry and absorbentBoth ends are tapered, unlike Tourna GripMultiple color options, unlike Tourna GripDoesn't tear as easily as Tourna Grip, making it more durableCheaper than Tourna Grip if you buy in bulkHas a bit of a textured feelCons:- The grip is just barely long enough to cover my standard length 4 5/8 grip racquet. Shouldn't be a problem if you have a shorter/smaller grip, or if you have a one-handed backhand.-Not Amazon Prime- The grip itself has the Volkl logo imprinted onto it. Not a huge deal, but I like my accessories to look clean and unbranded. This and Dunlop U-Sweat are tied for my choice of grip as a replacement for Tourna Grip. They feel very similar, the biggest difference being the Dunlop is a tad bit longer and only comes in black or white. I may edge towards the Volkl for the color options alone.
