I have this on another car but didn't need the phone mount itself -- using it for a monitor for Auto-vox solar backup cam (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGKFPTXJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title). They use the same size ball head for the monitor screen as are common with phone mounts. That works out well since I can now attach the monitor screen on my car's vent instead of being all awkward up on the dash and having to use sticky tape.
